title: how the dog came to live with man

author: Mrs. K .U. Rafy

this was really interesting to read because i wasn't sure which direction it was going to go. the food the dog brought to the fair was foul and all the other animals made fun of him for it. but the food stench got stuck on the bottom of their feet making it easy for the dog and human to hunt. the dog would follow the smell of the food and help provide the master with food. the dog became privileged to live in the house while pigs were left outside because the pig accused the dog of being lazy, which was true. but the master didn't believe the pig.

dog + human make a trip back to the original market festival?

title: The Goddesses Ka Ngot and Ka Iam

author:  Mrs. K .U. Rafy

this story has huuuge sibling rivalry built into it. the 2 sisters, twins of the god of Shillong were both beautiful, lively, frolicsome, and granted a lot of freedom by the family.

Ka Ngot: retiring, timid, afraid to start to the race. As a river, searched for smooth and easy paths to take, meandering slowly and made it to the city before her sister. She looked around for a little but couldn't find her, she got worried and decided to turn around to find her. when she turned around, she made a large curve that the Khasi called silver necklace. since then, she is recognized as the greater of the twin goddesses.

Ka Iam: adventurous, fearless, spoke of her victory and teased her sister for being nervous. with vigor and ambition she paid no attention to an easy path as a river. even though she chose the shortest path, it was full of large rocks and challenges. she made it to the city and saw her sister was already there and leisurely turning around to find her. she decided to split herself into 5 rivers.

what happened when they turned back into sisters? Maybe Ka Iam accuses Ka Ngot of cheating. They get into a fight with each other, storm out of their house (palace?) and something bad happens because of it (what is the god of shillong? earthquake? hurricane? famine? disease?)
