im really sad how this story turned out. the princes' best hunting dog refused to go with to hunt and the prince had no idea why. after a day, the dog finally returned to its master but had blood in its jaws. This made the prince panic because of his infant son. he ran to the nursery and looked all over for the son but only found more signs of struggle and blood. he believed that his most loyal dog killed his son, so in return he killed the dog [:(]. He heard an infant cry and checked under the crib. He found his child and also the bloody body of a wild wolf. The wolf had snuck into the nursery and the faithful hunting dog stayed to protect the baby. This is such a sad ending

| I really liked this image of the dog guarding the sleeping baby. The baby has no idea a threat is near and wouldn't be able to defend itself. Source: needpix |

my favorite part about this tale is how everything from the beginning of story gets tied into the ending. I sort of predicted that he would use the 3 pieces of advice for his journey home because I could tell thats the type of story it was. But what I didn't see coming was the wages hidden inside the cake for him and his wife. it shows how good of a person the farmer was.
