Breckenridge~ my favorite place
Breckenridge, CO is my all time favorite place. We have been taking family vacations there every summer since I was a baby. When we go, we do lots of different activities; horse back riding, hiking, hammocking, white water rafting, and just lots of time outside on the deck. It is always the perfect break from the hot and humid weather of Oklahoma summers. It's also the perfect way for all 3 of my siblings and I to hang out, plus quality time with our mom and grandparents.
This past March (before the world shut down) my sister got married in Breckenridge and we were able to have the full ceremony with no restrictions, because COVID19 hadn't become what it is now. Celebrating my sister getting married in our favorite spot only adds to the importance of Breckenridge to my family.

I am very glad that your sister was able to have the marriage just before everything changed! Last semester, there was a student in class planning a big wedding for this December in Colorado Springs -- maybe she will still manage to make that work, more or less; I hope so... And of course you are not the only person mentioning Colorado; reading through all these lovely posts on a Friday afternoon, I sure am wishing there were a mountain nearby where I could get away for the weekend. And physical distancing is fine in the big outdoors too! At least with mythology and folklore we can travel to the mountains (so many mythological mountains!) in our imagination anyway. :-)
