reading notes Eskimo folktales B

 1. The Eagle and The Whale

2 sisters are forced married to an eagle and to a whale. the eagle carries his new bride to his nest high on a cliff and the whale carries his new bride off to a small rock island. the sisters live here for quite sometime before their brothers come and rescue them. The sister who was trapped by the eagle had much more freedom than her sister so was able to create a rope to climb down from the nest. The sister married to the whale had a string tied to her ankle, and whenever she was allowed to go outside, the whale would pull on the string to bring her back. They had lots of free time, so what did they do besides plan an escape?
